Cala dOr

is without doubt is one of the finest resorts in Mallorca, combing a World class Marina and possibly one of the very Finest Yacht 
Clubs in the Mediterranean with a superb family holiday resort, with no less than 6 amazing beaches close by, with a lively and very family 
friendly but never roudy center with many fine restaurants. 

Cala dOr lies on the South East Coast of Mallorca just a very easy 45 minute drive from Palma Airport, and is one of the least 
commercialised areas of the island, its beauty lies in the amazing calas which are in abundance in this area of the island. It is these 
amazing calas that are the draw for the many amazing yachts that are located in the Marina and also for the beach loving tourists that 
hold the area  in such high esteem, many returning time after time.

The Marina

The heart of Cala dOr must surely be the stunning marina which is overlooked by the exclusive Yacht Club. The marina is located in the natural harbour of Cala Llonga, which stretches inland from the coastline approximately 600 metres, the marina nestles in its own little valley with many palm trees, and is lined by restaurants, bars, boutiques and the major yacht dealers of Fairline and Sunseeker. Walking down into the Marina basin is like walking into another world, very sheltered, an amazing atmosphere, so many wonderful Yachts, the perfect place for lunch, a coffee or quite drink, or even better to spend the evening, drinks, great food and watching the boats return from the day cruising the islands coastline. Simply Mallorca at its very best.

The Local Calas and Beaches

Cala Esmeralda is a great example of one of the Calas in the area. Stunning blue sea, rocky outcrops running down to the waters edge covered in pine trees, and the most perfect white sands disappearing into the clear blue sea. The area is perfect for families as wherever you are in the resort you are never far from one of the best calas in the area.

The beaches are quite different to most of the resorts in Mallorca, and Cala dOr is very blessed in the fact fact that it has 6 across the resort, all different, but similar in the fact that they are quite small and have amazing charm, unlike many of the large Mallorca resorts that have just one long stretch right across the resort.

Where ever you stay in the resort you will have one of these great beaches not far away, if you choose to hire a car during your stay, you will find that you have the option of many more just a few minutes away, and you will find these even more amazing, the chosen place for the locals and the stunning yachts that are based in the marina. Our personal favourites are Cala Esmeralda and Cala dOr.
